About KingKrete

We create future

From a single-room workshop in Atlanta in 1980 to a construction chemicals group on four continents — this is the story of making concrete last.

01
Origin

One job since 1980

Everything on this page — every product, country and certification — exists to do a single thing: make concrete last.

It started in a workshop in Atlanta
with one stubborn idea.

In 1980, in a modest workshop in Atlanta, Georgia, a small team set out to solve a problem they kept meeting on site: good concrete failing sooner than it should. There was no grand plan and no factory. Just a conviction that the right chemistry could make a structure stand longer, and the patience to prove it batch by batch.

Four decades later, that conviction has grown into a full construction chemicals group. A single line of admixtures became ten technical categories covering the whole life of a concrete structure — from the moment it is poured to the day, years later, it is repaired and protected. We grew deliberately, added each product because a customer needed it, and never lost the habit we started with: build things that last, and stand behind them.

The journey

Four decades, four regions

Keep scrolling — the story travels. Each product line, each country, each certification: one direction.

1980
The beginning

Founded in Atlanta

A single-room workshop in Atlanta, Georgia. A handful of people, one line of concrete admixtures, and a stubborn belief that concrete should last far longer than it usually did.

1986
Product

Repairing, not replacing

Concrete repair mortars and surface treatments joined the range as contractors kept asking us to save structures rather than demolish them.

1991
Product

Holding it together

We added grouts, anchoring systems and our first joint-sealing products — the quiet details that decide whether a structure holds.

1995
Quality

Sealed and certified

Waterproofing membranes and protective coatings completed the building envelope, and we earned our first ISO 9001 quality certification.

1999
Region

North America consolidated

With demand growing across the continent, KingKrete established a coordinated North American operation spanning the United States and Mexico.

2003
Product

Building the floor up

Industrial epoxy, PU and cementitious flooring systems arrived alongside a new manufacturing plant and a dedicated technical laboratory.

2006
Quality

Responsible by design

ISO 14001 environmental management was adopted across the group, formalising a commitment that had been there since the workshop days.

2008
Region

Across the water

Our first Middle East operation opened in Qatar, pairing local stock and a regional technical team with the formulations our home market trusted.

2011
Region

The region, in depth

The Middle East footprint deepened into Syria, backed by regional warehousing and on-site technical support.

2014
Region

East, and complete

South Asia operations began in Pakistan and India. Tiling and stone systems and structural adhesives completed the ten-category range, and ISO 45001 was adopted group-wide.

2017
Region

Deeper into South Asia

Operations extended into Sri Lanka, bringing local specification support to fast-growing infrastructure markets.

2019
Milestone

Systems, not just products

We drew the catalogue into a library of engineered systems and launched the digital specifier tools behind this site — and opened our first South American operation in Brazil.

2021
Quality

Every product, documented

A full technical data sheet was published for every product across all four regions, so specifiers can find performance, application and standards data in one place.

2023
Milestone

A world headquarters

The group consolidated its World Headquarters in Sandy Springs, Georgia — one home for four regions of operations.

2026
Milestone

Where we stand today

Four regions, 8 countries, 550+ products and 50 engineered systems — still run by people who would rather over-engineer than explain a failure.

Why we build

Mission & Vision

Our Mission

To make every structure we touch last longer than the world expects it to — with chemistry proven on site, not just in a laboratory.

Our Vision

A built environment where nothing is torn down for want of the right chemistry — and where durability and sustainability are the same decision.

Looking ahead
2050

Concrete that outlives its promise

By our seventieth year, we want every structure carrying a KingKrete product to outlast the life it was designed for. Vision 2050 is our commitment to lower-carbon chemistry, to manufacturing close to the projects we serve in each of our four regions, and to net-zero operations across the group. We started out trying to make concrete last longer. Now we want it to last longer for a world that can afford it.

Lower-carbon chemistryReformulating our core ranges for a lighter footprint, with no compromise on performance.
Regional manufacturingMaking close to where we build, in all four regions we serve.
Net-zero operationsA clear, measured path to net-zero across every operating company.
